Ms. Naiberg obtained her BA from McGill University and her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994. She is an active member of the senior management team of the Canadian affiliate of this global company and a key advisor to the President in developing company strategy. Ms. Naiberg oversees both legal and business affairs for the company, providing guidance on a wide variety of issues including content acquisition, licensing, marketing, sales, digital distribution, transactional matters and litigation. She also works closely with Canada’s recording industry association, Music Canada, to advocate for legislative reform and changes in public policy in an effort to curtail piracy and promote Canada’s legitimate music market. She is a frequent lecturer on matters related to the music industry, entertainment law and women in leadership roles.
Before joining Sony in April 1999, Ms. Naiberg articled and practiced in the litigation department of McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
